Clear Aligners for Adults
The Benefits of Clear Aligners
Adults and teenagers are increasingly choosing Clear Aligners over traditional braces for the following reasons:
- Comfort – Clear Aligners aligners are made with a smooth, thin plastic that is molded to the contours of your teeth.
- Convenience – Clear Aligners does not require any lifestyle changes. You can eat whatever you want, and because your aligners can be removed, you can brush and floss like you normally would.
- They’re Invisible! – One of the most common reasons that adults and teenagers prefer Clear Aligners aligners to braces is that they are nearly invisible. Unless you tell them, your coworkers, classmates, and friends will have no idea you're wearing aligners.
The Clear Aligners Process
The first step in your Clear Aligners treatment is a consultation. We will assess your teeth and jaw, as well as your dental history, to see if Clear Aligners is a good fit for you. If you choose to proceed with treatment, we'll take photographs and impressions of your teeth so that we can create a 3D model on our computer to use for treatment planning. This plan is sent to Clear Aligners, where your aligners are fabricated.
You'll wear each set of aligners for around two weeks, or as instructed, then switch to the next set right at home. We’ll ask that you come in for a follow-up every six weeks so we can ensure that your treatment is on track. After you finish with your last set of aligners, you will be given customized retainers to help you maintain your results.
